It is well known that the impact of removal and separation of a child from his or her parents can be significant on the welfare of that child and in some cases could last well into their adulthood. The process is cumbersome and extremely difficult also for the adult parents who in some cases, face permanent separation with their children.

At Elton Solicitors, we give realistic and sensitive legal advice about issues arising when a local authority is involved and has instigated care proceedings in respect of children. We represent our clients at all hearings and throughout the whole process which at times could last longer than 6 months. In doing so, we have a great knowledge of all issues which in turn, enables us to build better rapports with clients as well as give meaningful and pragmatic advice, whether we act for children under the instructions of a child’s Guardian or for parents.  

Our advice, will hopefully bring matters to a conclusion without the need for a fully contested final hearing. If this however will become necessary, we shall fight our clients’ corners to the very end.
